Anyone who’s lived in Rexburg knows that housing options are limited. For the longest time, there’s been a longstanding battle between an influx of students and residents moving in and a lack of housing options.
However, the days of long waitlists and stress to find an apartment are over. Rexburg is undergoing serious construction efforts and there are new housing developments coming your way!
Here’s a list of some of the new housing developments in Rexburg.
The Cedars
If you’ve been in the Rexburg area for a while you might remember The Cedars, which used to be located across from The Pines and The Willows. The original complex was torn down in 2016. Since then, they have started redeveloping the site. The Cedars at Hemming Village will now be BYU-Idaho approved student housing for women. The Cedars will be open in Winter 2018.
The Roost
The Roost made its way into town for its first semester this semester. These apartments are BYU-Idaho student-approved housing for men and women. They offer 4, 5, and 6 person apartment layouts. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer in the unit. The Roost is located on 486 S 3rd W across from Brookside apartments.
Brigham’s Mill
Brigham’s Mill is a BYU-Idaho approved student housing complex for men. The complex will be open for Fall 2017. Brigham’s Mill is located at 431 S 3rd W, Rexburg, ID 83440 near Rockland apartments and the Taco Bus. Their amenities include exercise rooms, a commons on the fourth floor, and so much more!
Paddington Place
Paddington Place is another new community/married housing apartment complex. This complex is located at 535 Mariah Ave, Rexburg, ID 83440, near the Paul Mitchell Hair School. Each unit includes a washer and a dryer as well as free wifi and Directv.
Sawtell Apartments
Sawtell Apartments is a new married housing apartment complex. They are located at 146 N 1st W between Broulim’s and Rexburg Rapids. These apartments are ideal for young couples looking for something affordable. Each apartment has granite countertops and custom cabinets to the ceiling. Each apartment also comes with a couch, a wall-mounted 40″ smart TV, a built-in bed frame with drawers and storage, and a kitchen table.
Abri
Abri is a BYU-Idaho approved student housing complex for both men and women! The complex will be open in Fall 2017. The new apartment complex will be located at 220 East 1st South, Rexburg, ID 83440 near Kensington Manor apartments.
