Turf and Track Replacement
This will be a big change for a lot of people. From July to September both the turf and track will be replaced with new surfaces. If you’re in Rexburg over the summer, you won’t be able to use the track and field like normal. However, the indoor track and courts will be open for use throughout the summer months.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12094″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Court Separators in the I-Center Gym
This is another change that many students and faculty members will easily notice and appreciate. Over the summer session, all of the curtain court dividers will be taken down and replaced with new ones. In order to keep the courts open for use, curtains will be replaced section by section. This way the rest of the gym can stay open for use.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12097″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Locker Removal in the Hart
Starting this month, construction crews will begin a five-month effort to create additional space for the expansion of Wellness Center facilities. To do this, lockers will be removed from unused locker rooms. The space will be remodeled to give the Wellness Center space to work with. We’re unsure at this time of what the space will be utilized for, but this will probably be announced as the project moves forward.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12099″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Changes in the Austin
Starting soon, a project scheduled to last through September will commence with the purpose of reconfiguring the interior of the Austin. This will result in larger classrooms that will benefit both students attending classes and those who’s wards meet in the building. Furthermore, air conditioning will be installed in the automotive department. Automotive students can look forward to much cooler conditions going forward.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12098″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Interior Remodeling in the Clarke
The Clarke is already under construction, and will continue to undergo work into the month of September. This project will expand classrooms used by students in the Nursing Department as well as various other classrooms. While they’re at it, construction teams will also make improvements to the air conditioning system by replacing one large fan with several smaller fans. While this phase of construction takes place, students and faculty can expect a lack of airflow in the building.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12095″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Financial Services Office Remodel
You may notice changes in the financial aid office next time you’re there. There aren’t many details on what to expect as a result of the remodel. But we can only assume that the office will be much better-looking come November.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12096″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][vc_column_text]
Taylor Building Roofing
If you’re around during the summer session, you’ll probably notice workers tearing up parts of the old roofing of the Taylor building and replacing it with new roofing. The new roofing will be copper, and will fare much better under extreme weather conditions. This project will start after education week, around August 1, and finish before the start of the new semester.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
