Did you make it out to the Beehive Annual Picnic last month? If so, you’ll remember the amazing time everyone had and a benchmark summer event. It was a time for neighbors and friends, both new and old, to come and celebrate together.
And when put into perspective, one would be amazed to see just how much of a success the event really was. Let me name the ways:
Beehive fed as many as 4,900 people
Beehive Federal Credit Union is part of what makes this town so great. They truly want to help the community and make any positive difference that they can. That is why they throw this annual picnic in the first place. And this year, they fed just shy of 5,000 people. That doesn’t even count those who came and didn’t eat. (But it was free food, so really, who wouldn’t?)
They raised $5,540 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a charity organization based in Salt Lake City. They work diligently to raise funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals throughout North America. Beehive accepted and received $5,540 in donations that went toward the network.
The Beehive Pavilion Ribbon-Cutting
Did you notice the brand new structure in the southeast corner of Porter Park? Beehive dedicated this pavilion to help promote entertainment and other events for the community. Already, several local bands have had the opportunity to perform on the stage. Other community events have occurred, as well.
We are very fortunate to have an institution like Beehive Federal Credit Union serving our community. Their care for Rexburg and their desire to make a difference sets them apart from competitors, but also benefits everyone. The Beehive Annual Picnic is a sure manifestation of this.
