Summertime is right around the corner, and that means a lot of different things for different people. School’s out, college students are traveling home, dads are firing up their grills, and families are looking for new activities. As the days heat up, there’ll be no better way to have fun and stay cool than spending your afternoon at Rexburg Rapids, set to open this Saturday, June 10th.

Rexburg Rapids is a local family-friendly water park – the only one of its kind in the southeastern Idaho area. Since its construction in 2011, the park has provided fun for both southeastern Idaho locals and those passing through.

Because of its various features, Rexburg Rapids provides fun for all ages. If you’re a thrill seeker, head over to the three story high pair of waterslides. One features twists and turns while the other is built for pure speed. Perhaps you’d rather take a dip in one of their heated swimming pools. If its exercise you’re looking for, you may want to check out the lap pool for performance or practice swimming.

Feeling lazy? Feel free to float the lazy river. Do you have children? They’ll love the wading pool and children’s water playground! Tables, chairs, and shaded areas are scattered throughout the park, making it easy for parents to both relax and keep an eye on their kids. The park has changing rooms and lockers available, so all you’ll need to bring is your swimsuit and towel.

Along with clubs and events, Rexburg Rapids also offers swimming lessons for various ages, junior lifeguard classes, American Red Cross Lifeguard certification courses, and more.

Many visitors are surprised by the low cost of admission, observing that parks with little more to offer often charge far more. According to their website, general park admission starts at $5.50, with an additional $1.50 for unlimited water slide access.

Season passes and punch passes are also available for sale. This allows individuals and families to enjoy the park all season long, while saving money in the process. See their website for complete pricing information at www.rexburgrapids.com/admission.

Whatever your plans may be for this summer, make sure to visit Rexburg Rapids, open from this Saturday, June 10th to August 26th.
