You’ll never have to ask where Thirty Five West is located. And you won’t have to wonder what it is they sell there. That is the goal of the newest boutique in Rexburg as they prepare to launch their grand opening this weekend.
Under the ownership of Idaho locals Carol Nielsen and Leisle Rose, Thirty Five West is a custom t-shirt business looking to offer cute boutique clothing and a fun culture.
“Because we’re all locals, we know how hard it is to find cute clothes in southeast Idaho,” says Jessica Foster, store manager. “Especially name brand.”
Thirty Five West is a collaborative effort of those who run behind the scenes as well as community input. Customers can either pick from pre-designed t-shirts or they can custom design their own.
You don’t have to stop at t-shirts, either. From blankets to aprons and towels and beyond, Thirty Five West does it all. They also sell a wide variety of stylish, affordable boutique items such as jewelry, hats, and scarves. Nielsen and Rose’s other business ventures provide connections with getting all sorts of product. Brand names like Sorel, Free Bird, and Free People, previously unavailable in southeast Idaho, will be available right here in Rexburg.
“The sky’s the limit for this store,” Foster says.
Foster and the owners have many plans in the works to help Thirty Five West become one of the seminal “hang out” spots in Rexburg. To further complement their culture of community and fun, they plan to host group date nights and “family home evenings” as well.
“We know how hard it is to find something to do,” Foster adds.
With the arrival of Thirty Five West, Rexburg won’t just get another shopping option. The purpose of Thirty Five West is to be an integral part of the town.
Thirty Five West’s grand opening will be this Saturday, December 9th. The first 100 people at the event will receive a free t-shirt and event tees will be available for $2.99 to those who sign up for the text program. To do so, text “TeeShirt” to 91011. There will be music, games, karaoke, and at 12 p.m., local cookie shop Baked will start delivering freshly baked cookies for the rest of the day.
“We are really trying to get our name out there and create a fun event for people,” Foster says. “And we’re looking to have as much fun as possible.”
You can find Thirty Five West at, you guessed it, 35 W Main St in Rexburg. The grand opening will go all day during store hours, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., so make sure you stop by!
