And there is much for the rest of us to do as well.

Through educational, housing, and senior programs, as well as services such as food distribution and emergency shelter, EICAP has been serving the community for over 40 years.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”25″][image_with_animation image_url=”13033″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Upper Valley Food Pantry

Though based in Idaho Falls, EICAP also has outreach offices in Salmon and here in Rexburg. The Upper Valley Food Pantry is also contracted with the Idaho Food Bank.

Between January and July of this year alone, the Upper Valley Food Pantry has served nearly 2,000 Rexburg community members. There is a great need to assist right in our own neighborhood.

In Madison County, 21% of community members experience food insecurity. Additionally, 19% of our children are food insecure and don’t maintain the diet they should for their growth.

UVFP isn’t the first outreach program to seek solutions and assistance to the many at risk individuals and families in Rexburg. Grand Peaks also began in Fremont County but soon opened a location in Rexburg to offer affordable health care to those who couldn’t afford health insurance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]EICAP and UVFP cannot do it alone. Neither can these community members. They need our help.

There is much we can do as community members to help our neighbors. You can partner with UVFP to host a food drive. They also accept both monetary donations (mailed to address below) as well as “needed goods,” which are also listed below. Please do not donate damaged or expired goods. You can call UVFP to schedule a donation drop-off time.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
