Everyone, We are again celebrating Patriot Day with the Memorial Walk and Patriot Day Parade in Porter Park: #1. The Memorial Walk: A self-guided tour walks you through the events of 9/11/2001. American Flags and a timeline of events mark the path around the park. This is a self-guided, self-paced, free memorial. Visiting the memorial will either remind or teach about the actual events of that day. The Memorial Walk will be set up from 7am until 7 pm. #2. Patriot Day Parade. Come to the North East corner of Porter Park and join MFD’s bagpipers as they parade around the park. Pick up one of the American Flags as you march. The parade ends on the South West corner of the park where there will be a short ceremony. The parade starts at 7:15 pm. We hope to see you there!
