Last Call-oween: Halloween parties yet to happen

If you have been anywhere near social media this past weekend, you have likely seen an abundance of costumes. All the familiar themes have popped up: Stranger Things, Disney movies, classic horror films, and…anyone see a David S. Pumpkins out there? I’ve been disappointed in how little I’ve seen of Tom Hanks’ bizarre SNL character.

But even if your big party was this past weekend, let us not forget, Halloween itself is still to come. Tomorrow is the big day, and there are still plenty of scares left in and around Rexburg. Let’s briefly give a shout out to what still has yet to happen.

FatCats Halloween Party

This one is going down tonight. Come to FatCats and enjoy some free bowling from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., but also make sure you come in costume. There will be both an Adult and Kids’ Costume Contest with some pretty excellent prizes for winners. Games, prizes, a “trunk-or-treat”… and free admission. This is a great way to spend Monday night with the family.

Halloween Carnival

Face it, carnivals have a high spookability. That is why there are two of them happening over the next two days.

Madison Jr. High

How about celebrating Halloween for a fundraiser? Tomorrow, Oct. 31st, come to Madison Jr. High School between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. for some thrilling activities for the whole family. Pre-sale tickets are 5 for $1 or at the door 4 for $1. Punch cards for $10 and $20 are also available.

What exactly can you expect here? Let me count the ways. Face painting, jousting, a cakewalk, bake sale, costume contest, Halloween dance tutorial, to name just a few.

BYU-I Hart Building

If this is your thing, dance parties at the Hart bring the masses. And can’t we agree that costumes make everything more fun? Enjoy the River of Styx, a Nerf war, and of course a Halloween dance. All these folks ask is that you not wear any full face masks. And shorts, buts obvs.

Spooktacular Halloween Party

This one gets the distinction as being the only local party to market itself as “spooktacular.” And that’s not the only great thing about it. Hop on up to the Idaho Art Lab in St. Anthony at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow for some good, clean, free fun. There will be food, crafts, games, prizes, and of course, they encourage you to dress to the nines in your costumes.

Fresco Halloween

Think you have Fresco all figured out, do you? It’s true they have incredible pizza and are one of the newest faces in town. But have you seen them get spooky? Turns out, no one has. Not yet. Fresco is putting on their first annual Halloween party tomorrow, Oct. 31st, from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Enjoy decorations, come in costume, and feast on their fine menu options.

Gravity Factory Trunk or Treat

Gravity Factory understands you’ll have a lot of parties on Halloween, so they’re doing theirs today. This way, you can attend more parties and get more candy. Come to Gravity Factory tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with your kids and costumes and load up on the sweets. They’ll also be giving away a 15-jump pass to the best-decorated trunk and a free month pass to the best costume. So take this seriously. You can still register your trunk here.

These are just a few of the most local events. Keep your eye open for more parties, events, and trunk-or-treats and be sure to spread the word to your friends. After all, Halloween is best celebrated with great friends, creative costumes, and, of course, candy.

Now. Time to party.
