Beekeeping for Beginners This one-day short course, taught by Master Beekeeper Ward Hicks, will teach you how to manage your own honey bees for your own benefit. Cost:$65 per person. This includes lunch, course materials, hand-outs, catalogs, new hive tool and 166-page, full-color edition of “First Lessons in Beekeeping.” Course Description: This class will help participants understand the basics of beekeeping. Topics will include equipment you will need, management techniques for honey production and pollination as well as general beekeeping knowledge. Students with little or no experience in beekeeping will gain valuable information on how to be a successful beekeeper. This class is designed to coach beginners who plan to start their own hives this spring. Class will be held on Sat.
