We went to each Subway in Rexburg and ranked them based on the following criteria:

Positives

Clean store. The tables were free of breadcrumbs or trash.
There was a good amount of meat on the sandwich.
The cookies were under cooked just enough for them to be nice and soft.
Fast service. It only took a couple minutes for us to get our sandwich.

The sandwich was a little sloppy. There was a little too much sauce (You can see some sauce spread on the paper underneath the sandwich).
The bread was a dry.
The server wasn’t excited, but he wasn’t cranky either. We felt like he was rushing us even though we were the only people in line.

Walmart Subway

Sandwich: Italian B.M.T.

The bread was very soft.
Not as much of a Subway smell. The smell doesn’t stay inside the store because its walls open up into Walmart.
This store has pretzels, popcorn, and an Icee machine.
The overall appearance and feel of the store was good.

Hardly any veggies on the sandwich (4 pickles on a footlong and almost no lettuce).
Cookie was overdone. The middle of the cookie was chewy, but the outside was crispier than a cookie should be.
There was mustard was all over the outside of the bread. We got mustard all over our fingers when we picked up the sandwich.
Our sandwich was made fast, but we had to ask them 4 times to cut it into thirds. We felt like they didn’t listen and didn’t care very much.

Sandwich: Steak and Cheese

Sandwich presentation was pretty good. A few veggies were hanging out, but not too many. The sauce was inside the sandwich instead of on the outside of the bread.
Good amount of veggies on the sandwich.
The tables and the store were clean. There wasn’t any trash or crumbs all over the tables.
Soft bread. It was toasted just enough to warm up the meat while giving the bread a soft and crunchy texture.
Friendly and fast service. Multiple workers welcomed us to the store and spoke with us as we ordered.
It has a drive through. If you’re in a rush, this Subway can get you your food fast. The drive thru is also nice if you want to skip the line inside.

There is a strong Subway smell because it’s trapped inside. The smell stayed on our clothes for a while.

Very soft cookie. This cookie tasted the best out of all the cookies we had.
Soft bread
No veggies were hanging out of the sandwich. The sandwich was clean, leaving no sauce on the bread or our hands.
Friendly staff. They welcomed us when we came in and said, “Have a nice day!”

Very strong Subway smell. The smell is trapped inside and can’t escape.
The sandwich looked more like a burrito than a sandwich.
This was the busiest of the 4 locations during lunch time. This Subway is right next to the I-Center, which is probably why it was the busiest. It’s within walking distance of most places near campus.
