The National Parks will be performing Friday and Saturday, May 12th and 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University – Idaho.

Starting in early 2013 in Provo, Utah, this five-piece band has become a sensation. The National Parks quickly climbed to No. 13 on the iTunes singer/songwriter charts with their first album, Young. This first album and the success of their single, “As We Ran,” allowed the group to perform across the United States.

They have performed with the likes of Andy Grammer, The Lone Bellow, LeAnn Rimes, and The Moth & The Flame.

The experience of playing in front of crowds helped in the development of their second album, Until I Live, which was released in September 2015. Once again, this album blew up as it climbed the charts of iTunes Pop Chart and Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart. This led to “Monster of the North”, the lead single from Until I Live, to be announced as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition in April 2016. The group was also named Utah’s “Band of the Year” later that year in Salt Lake City Weekly.

Press from major outlets such as NPR’s All Songs Considered, CMT Edge, and PopMatters all helped fuel more momentum and allowed them to continue touring in 2016.

Tickets for the Center Stage concert are $12 for the general public and $6 for BYU-Idaho Students.
Tickets can be purchased at the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office, by calling (208) 496-3170 or online at tickets.byui.edu.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
