You may think of walking the streets of Disneyland or Disneyworld, having the time of your life. Or you may remember the street carts from your mission or time abroad. Maybe you just think of a rewarding end to your Costco shopping trip. Fortunately, you don’t have to travel to Mexico or Disneyland, wait for the next state fair, or even drive to Costco in Pocatello to relive those memories. No, your churro-inspired memories are only a couple of minutes away, at Churrería Los Locos – Rexburg’s very own churro restaurant![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”12694″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Location

If you haven’t heard of Los Locos, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Of the people we polled, not many knew about a churro place in town, and fewer knew it by name. It’s pretty new, after all. The churrería opened its doors last December without much fanfare or fuss.

Their little restaurant is tucked away in the strip mall across the street from Broulim’s where larger companies like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, The Hickory, and even Book Viking compete for the attention of those passing by. However, as is the case with many hole-in-the-wall gems, they’ve been winning loyal customers bit by bit by word of mouth, due to the fantastic quality and authenticity of their churros.  [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Menu

Don’t be surprised if you have a hard time ordering at Los Locos. They have an impressive amount of churro fillings you can choose from, and they all look so good! Dulce de leche, cheesecake cream, and huckleberry are just a few of more than a dozen delectable flavors available. Don’t stress too much, however. Ask for a sample or two to help make your decision.

Your churros will be fried right before your eyes. After a good frying, you can watch as they infuse the churros with your flavor of choice. Finally, as if your mouth wasn’t watering enough already, they’ll drizzle flavoring over the top of your fried delicacy.

To complement your churros, the restaurant also sells Jarritos soda, Mexican hot chocolate, barley drink, and a cinnamon spice drink. Pricing And Hours

What would you expect to pay for an authentic fresh-made churro in Rexburg? Five dollars? Maybe three? No sir, any churro of your choice costs only $2. Pricing like this makes Churrería Los Locos a hot destination for families, groups, and especially for dates. Drinks are priced similarly, at anywhere from $1-$2.

As Los Locos is family owned and operated, and only open during churro prime-time, their hours are limited. That being said, as they are open Monday-Saturday from 3PM to 10PM, you shouldn’t have a hard time getting in to see them.

Whether you’re looking to relive fond memories, or simply take a friend or date to something more cultured than the cliché ice cream cone, give Rexburg’s own churrería a shot! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
