This week, the Madison Cares team won the Service Organization of the Year Award from the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. It’s no surprise that this team received such a prestigious award. They’ve done remarkable things for Rexburg throughout the years. But why?

Madison Cares really helps the community.

Mission Statement and Goal

Madison Cares empowers individuals and their families through education, advocacy and community connections to promote a positive culture of change, resilient families and a united community.

Since October of 2009, Madison Cares has lived up to their mission statement. They help and strengthen our local community. Their programs such as Mental Health, Darkness to Light and the Madison Cares Education Series are just a few services available to the public. They also execute events such as Start With Hello, TedxRexburg, Community Wellness Fair, Celebrate Youth and many others. You can learn all about these events and programs by visiting their website.

Their goal to help the community and families is what drives this team to work hard. They love the outcome of helping parents, children and individuals become more empowered to live their life to the fullest.

Madison Cares Team

Not only are there clinicians, educators and event planners, but the team also includes volunteers. They also work alongside Madison School District for most of their programs and events. The students look forward to the annual events such as Celebrate Youth and Start With Hello because it’s meant to help and strengthen them.

Madison Cares was awarded Service Organization of the Year.

Planning the events takes a lot of organization, time and energy. When asked why they continue to do these free services for the community, the team said, “We simply enjoy the work we do. We see the benefits that come to these families we work with. We watch them grow together. They learn to see their own positive qualities and then move forward from there. It’s rewarding for all of us. It helps us keep going.”
