Today, July 5, is the last day to register your child at regular price for Madison Grid Kid.
Madison Grid Kid Youth Football Program is a non-profit organization that allows kids to learn and play full-contact organized football. Serving kids from Rexburg as part of the Upper Valley Grid Kid Football Association, the program is for 4th through 8th grade kids.

Age Group
Each child will be able to play within his or her own age group. Alternative arrangements must be agreed upon by the player’s parents, the coach, and the area director. Equipment
The program will also supply a majority of the football gear and equipment. Players are responsible for their own mouth piece, chin strap, red socks/cleats, practice pants/jersey, and the seven leg pads. Practice
Practices will begin in August at designated locations, and at times determined by the coach. They will last no longer than 2.5 hours and five times per week, prior to the first game. There will be no practices on Sundays.

Games
The duration of the season goes from August 1 to October 31. The game schedule will be made available after the season has begun.
Players will be eligible to play in games ONLY if they have attended all practices for that week and have put in a full effort. Volunteers
Often, the volunteers are the kids’ parents but the program is accepting all willing and able volunteers. They are what makes the whole operation possible, and what give these kids the chance to play, learn, and have fun.
During the preseason, volunteers are asked to attend 10 hours of practice per week. When the games begin, 6 or 7 hours of practice plus game time is required. The cost of application is $175, and $195 if done after today.
